1980 F100 STEPSIDE RANGER.

THIS TRUCK WAS PRETTY MUCH LOADED FOR 1980. IT CAME WITH A 302 2/BBL AND A C6 TRANS 9" REAR, AC, TILT, AND CC, WITH WOODGRAIN INT.

AT CLOSE TO 200K/MILES I PULLED THE 302 AND INSTALLED A HOPPED UP CLEVELAND, ALONG WITH A SET OF 3:50 GEARS AND TRACTIONLOCK. I ALSO ADDED A STULL GRILL AND A SET OF SWAY-BARS 1 1/8 FRONT AND REAR,

IT SOON BECAME APPARENT THAT TRACTION WAS A PROBLEM, SO ON WENT A SET OF TRACTION BARS ALSO. I THEN DETERMINED THAT IF THIS TRUCK WAS LEANING IN A CURVE IT WAS BECAUSE TWO WHEELS WERE "OFF" THE GROUND.

AS YOU SEE IT NOW IN THESE PICS I HAVE PULLED THE ENGINE, IT WILL GO IN MY 66 MUSTANG.

AS FOR THE TRUCK .... WELL ITS ON THE BACK BURNER FOR A WHILE..BUT HERE ARE A FEW PICS IN PRIMER AND WHAT THE 351 SOUNDS LIKE.

WITH TURBO MUFFLERS AND 2.5 INCH PIPES ALL THE WAY OUT THE BACK. IT WOULD SET OFF CAR ALARMS WHEN I IDLED BY.

YOU COULD LITTERALY HEAR IT HITTING IN THE HEADERS.
